Happy Birthday to Me

I slept in Ol' '95 on the night of July 9 so I could take a 6 AM flight off Vancouver Island.

There are no hotels close to the Victoria International Airport - which is really in a field about 35 km outside of Victoria. Additionally, none of the hotels have airport shuttles and I didn't think I could find a cab to get me to the airport by 5 AM. I was very happy to have the comfort of my bed on wheels.

It was only a 25 minute flight to Seattle with layover and 14 HOURS before I would arrive in Burbank.

We celebrated that evening with red chocolate cake and red wine.

Bazil brought gifts from home that included an Amazon gift card, trinkets for Ol' 95, and books he had selected.

A really special gift was the book with 50 fill in the blank entries on What I Love About My Grandma.

I cried at almost all 50 of them even though he had to admit that some of them he had to think hard before he could come up with a response. For example, I love it when you wear that scarf.
